NSC erected 15,000 tons of structural steel as part of the $1.2B airport expansion that created what is now the Edward H. McNamara Terminal at Detroit Metropolitan Airport—one of the largest and most advanced airport terminals in the United States.
Structural Steel Erection
Installed 15,000 tons of steel, forming the primary framing for the main terminal, concourses, atrium, connector bridges, and people-mover system
Erected the uniquly framed roof strucutre required to achieve wide-open, column-free terminal spaces
Metal Deck Installation
Installed 2.0M square feet of metal deck across multiple structures, including concourses, public areas, baggage handling systems, and transportation hubs
Strand Jack Heavy Lifts
Utilized strand-jack lifting systems for major assemblies and large steel modules from the ground to elevation
Enabled safe and efficient hoisting of oversized structural components without disrupting airport operations
