NSC erected 13,575 tons of structural steel across multiple critical facilities at the Mercedes-Benz vehicle manufacturing campus.

Project Details

  • Erected approximately 13,5750 tons of structural steel across multiple buildings as part of the 2004–2005 MBUSI plant expansion.
  • Structural steel supported an expanded manufacturing campus totaling approximately 3 million square feet following completion of the additions.
  • Performed steel erection for several critical facilities, including:
    • Vehicle Assembly Plant
    • Paint Shop
    • Energy Center
    • Ancillary and miscellaneous structural steel throughout the campus
  • Executed remedial structural steel work within the Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) while coordinating around active manufacturing processes.
  • Sequenced erection activities to support follow-on trades, equipment installation, and commissioning without disrupting plant operations
